Privacy Policy
QFXMAX is a news and cognition toolkit with white-and-gold chrome. This page explains what stays on your device for reading prefs and bookmarks, and what the read-only product does not do.
01What this covers
About describes QFXMAX as a news and cognition toolkit—no matching, payouts, or key custody. Version 1.0 is read-only. Primary tabs are Home, News, Pulse, Tools, and Saved. Tagline: Evening paper · read-only cognition.
The app does not place orders, show transfer rails, or write market moves as trading commands.
02Information kept on this device
Reading experience data is stored in on-device preferences (UserDefaults). Editorial catalogs (articles, pulse assets, lexicon, academy, agenda, quiz) ship with the app or are generated locally for display.

Sentiment dials, network-weather lanes, and brief progress can update locally for cognition demos; they are not a brokerage feed for execution.
03Network use
At launch the app may contact a configuration endpoint to decide whether to open the in-app experience or a remote portal page. When the remote portal is shown, that destination is governed by its own terms and privacy notice.
While you use the local QFXMAX desk, core bookmarks and reading prefs remain on device. We do not sell reading ledgers. Content leaves the device only if you share an article clip, back up the phone, or open a remote portal you are routed to.
04Permissions and sharing
- Paper reminder: Prefs can store an evening / paper reminder preference. System notification permission is only needed if you enable reminders that schedule alerts.
- Share sheet: Sharing an article sends the title and excerpt you choose through the system share panel.
- No camera requirement for browsing Home, News, Pulse, Tools, or Saved.
05Retention and clearing
- Clear bookmarks (Prefs) removes saved marks from this device.
- Clear film and searches clears reading history and recent search strings.
- Replay welcome only resets the onboarding flag; it does not wipe bookmarks by itself.
- Uninstall removes the app sandbox, including local preference keys.
06Children and contact
QFXMAX is a general reading and cognition utility. It is not directed at children under 13.
